Stretch Denim Care FAQ
Some of our denim styles are made using stretch fabrics, carefully selected to provide extra comfort, flexibility and freedom of movement while still maintaining the authentic look and feel of denim.
Stretch denim is designed to move with you, making it ideal for everyday wear and helping to create a more comfortable, flattering fit. As with all stretch fabrics, however, the way you wear, wash and care for your jeans can help them retain their shape, colour and performance for longer.
To help you get the very best from your stretch jeans, we’ve answered some of the questions we’re most frequently asked, along with simple advice on fit, washing, drying and general care.
Does stretch denim fade like 100% cotton?
Both stretch denim and 100% cotton denim can fade. We cannot promise how much or how quickly a particular pair will fade; washing, wear and sunlight can affect the result.
Will my jeans shrink?
Some shrinkage is possible, especially with heat, but we cannot promise an exact amount. Follow the garment care label and avoid hot washing and drying.
How should I wash them?
Follow the care label. Turn jeans inside out, use a cool gentle wash if the label permits, and wash dark denim separately from light colours. Spot-clean small marks when practical.
How should I dry them?
Air dry away from direct sunlight where possible. Check the label before tumble drying; avoid high heat.
